A British War Medal to Second Lieutenant Cliff - (2. LIEUTENANT. H.T. CLIFF). Naming is officially impressed. Cleaned, light contact, extremely fine. Accompanied by a copy of his Index Card (acknowledging his eligibility for the BWM and VM). Footnote: Harold Taylor Cliff was born on June 5, 1897. He was promoted to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Field Artillery on June 21, 1917. He entered the French theatre four months later, on October 20, 1917 and served with the 5th Divisional Artillery Ammunition Column. Cliff was later transferred to the 80th Battery, 15th Brigade RFA and was wounded in action. He was promoted to Lieutenant on December 21, 1918 and held the same rank in the RFA Reserve of Officers, Class III, and was on the Army List as of October 1943.
